Juicy Goes Green

Juicy Couture is trying to send a world wide message with the California Go Green Canvas Bag (shown above). No need for the plastic grocery bags anymore. The time has come for us to stop using these plastic bags. They are awful for our environment. This Go Green Canvas bag is big and has a lot of space to fill with goodies. It does not only have to serve as a grocery bag purpose but it can tote just about anything around. This bag is also super cute, so the consumer would want to carry it around, with the recycled symbol in the shape of a heart and also the words Choose Green are also written on the bag.

Juicy Merchandise

Juicy Couture has all sorts of merchandise anything from t-shirts to baby strollers and everything in between. Clothing and purses are their more popular items, especially the famous track suits. Here are a few pictures of some of their merchandise. My personal favorite is their sunglasses. I have a pair and I love them.

Advertisings

This advertisement is from the Fall/Winter 2009 collection. It is advertising Juicy's new fragrance called Viva La Juicy. This advertisement is aimed towards their target market (16-25 year old females) and also for any consumer who is shopping for a new fragrance. The girl looks as if she is in love with the fragrance almost like she can't set the bottle down.

This video advertisement is also from the Fall 2009 collection. It is advertising more towards the clothing/apparel section for men and women. This advertisement is also aimed for their target market, which is 16-25 age females. The video's title is Do The Don'ts; Make a Mess. The video shows how the main girl looks glamorous and everything around her is a mess, but a very fun mess.

The model's from both advertisements more than likely came from the following top modeling agencies: Ford Models, Elite Models, Wilhelmina, or IMG models. These four agencies are where most of the Juicy Couture models get recruited from.

Target Market of Juicy Couture

Juicy Couture markets many items under many categories. They have both men and women collections, children's collections as well as a mix of fashion accessories including jewelry, handbags and swim wear (Leadwell). This is one reason that I enjoy this brand so much. A customer can walk into one of these stores and find anything they are looking for whether it be for them, their boyfriend/girlfriend, or child. The major target market is young adult females aging from about 16-25. This is my age group and this company really stands out to me with crowns and the color pink everywhere. It couldn't get any better than that.

In 2003 Juicy Couture was purchased by Liz Claiborne Inc. for an undisclosed multi-million dollar sum. This was quite an accomplishment for a company that sold track suits, "Juicy loves Martha," T-shirts and ruffled velvet tube dresses. (Leadwell). Today in 2010, Juicy Couture has come so far and has now become one of the most well known brands in the fashion industry. The products consist of the classic track suits (which now has many designs), velvet accessories such as purses and wallets, apparel merchandise, and also gorgeous jewelry. If you do not own anything from this brand, I highly recommend going out and purchasing one of these items.

Juicy Background and History

Do you want to know the "Juicy" gossip about Juicy Couture?. Juicy Couture is one of my personal favorite brands because it has a different style than any other brand in the fashion industry. Juicy Couture is one of the younger brands it was founded in 1994; that is in my lifetime. Who would have thought that such a great brand could be so young? It was founded by the partnership of Gela Nash and Pamela Skaist-Levy, shown here to the right. It was made out of their home in Califormia, and was originally a huge success all over the west coast. (Juicy Couture) The look of the company started as a designer T-shirt company than changed in 1999 into the denim and sportswear market. Next came the item that the company is most famous for, "The Track Suit."(Leadwell)

This video is of actress and model Molly Sims talking about the founders of Juicy (Gela and Pamela).
